ORSALIT® nutris is a foodstuff with a better taste for special medical purposes, intended for dietary management in conditions of dehydration, especially during diarrhoea or vomiting and in situations where there is a risk of dehydration. ORSALIT® nutris supplements liquids and minerals in the event of water and electrolyte disturbances.
ORSALIT® nutris is enriched with lactalbumin, a protein found in milk. Lactalbumin provides essential amino acids i.e. amino acids which are not produced by the human body and must be provided with food. Thanks to the content of glucose, mineral salts and lactalbumin, ORSALIT® nutris also demonstrates nutritional functions. ORSALIT® nutris is a new, tasty oral hydration liquid with reduced salty taste.
Hemodynamic shock, intestinal obstruction, allergy to cow’s milk proteins.
Dosage depends on the dehydration level and physician’s recommendations. It is usually recommended to administer 50 – 100 ml of oral hydration fluid per kg of body weight during the first 4 hours, and additionally 5 – 10 ml per kg of body weight after each diarrhoeal stool or vomiting. At the subsequent stage of hydration, it is recommended to administer 5 – 10 ml of oral hydration fluid per kg of body weight after each diarrhoeal stool or vomiting.
